Animation Fundamentals
Week 6 : Lecture
For this week we discussed on a principle of animation which is follow through and overlapping action.
1. Follow through
Follow through and overlapping action are two related techniques that work subsequently. It gives the action a more realistic movement and gives the impression that the character follows the laws of physics. Follow through is a conclusion of an action, when a character's body stops while the other parts or appendages of the character continue to move.

2. Overlapping Action
Overlapping action is the idea that different parts of the body move at different timing making it feel as if the other parts are along for the ride.
